Young Professionals Windsor hosted its first speed networking event to an engaging group of 20 young professionals and students on April 28.

Attendees were given five minutes to pitch their skills and services to another guest before swapping seats and meeting a new young professional!

Speed networking conversations continued during a mingle session that followed. Three guests also won gift certificates for free acupuncture treatments, courtesy of Cheung’s Trading Company.

Before the speed networking began, guests enjoyed a presentation about political engagement– an important aspect in many young professional’s lives. Special guest speaker Nancy Duffy, publisher and editor of In Retro Radio/Magazine, shared her experiences working in federal politics, how politics shapes our community and the importance of voting in today’s federal election.

Young Professionals Windsor wishes to thank Nancy Duffy and attendees for making this an enjoyable and informative night. Special thanks also goes to Cheung’s Trading Company for its generous donation of door prizes and to Rockhead Pub for accommodating the event.
